Before applying for a job in Norway, one should read all available information pertaining to the company. It is acceptable to call ahead for additional information prior to mailing an application. This is a good time for the candidate to introduce him/herself, in addition to obtaining details on a specific job. Gathering information in advance will help in preparing for an interview. It is important to have all one's questions ready to ask at the time of the interview. Persistent telephone calls and following up on the status of the recruitment process are not acceptable.
To obtain a job in Norway, a solid grasp of the Norwegian language may be required. Those who accept jobs in Norway are entitled to free Norwegian language classes offered by the municipal authorities. English is taught in the schools and is the major second language spoken in Norway. For some jobs, English may be sufficient; most Norwegian businesspeople are fluent in English.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Norway guide.
