Excerpted from the Singapore Career Guide
Companies in Singapore commonly pay for airfare, as well as accommodations, for the number of days a prospective employee is required to be in the country for an interview. Singaporeans conduct business with harmony, but formality. It is important that one is always on time.
Job interviews in Singapore are usually conducted in English, unless it is a family-run business with a traditional Chinese background, in which case the interview may be conducted in Chinese. In rare cases it may be necessary to have an interpreter present. Hierarchy is still observed in Singapore and the highest official always receives the greatest respect. He is always to be addressed by last name only and it is not proper for him to interact with those of lower rank outside of the workplace. Others are generally addressed by a title plus the last name. There are several different name patterns in Singapore, which can be confusing. For this reason, it is best to inquire as to how to address someone.
This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Singapore guide.
