   :: Interviewing Advice

Excerpted from the Switzerland Career Guide

The Swiss are very punctual for both business and social occasions and they expect the same from others. One should allow plenty of time to arrive at an interview. Business cards should be presented to the secretary or receptionist upon arrival. Since many Swiss are educated in a second language, it is not necessary to have cards printed in two languages; English will suffice.

A third person typically makes the necessary introductions. All those in the group should be addressed by title plus last name, following the listing on the business card. Professional titles are respected and appropriate forms of address. Age is also showed deference. First names are seldom used in business.

This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete Switzerland guide.
