Excerpted from the Brazil Career Guide

Industrial employment continues to grow, according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the nation’s statistical organization. Notable in employee growth are manufacturers of general machinery and equipment, transport equipment, and food/beverage processing. The metals sector experienced job losses. According to Brazil’s Industrial Machinery and Equipment Association (Abimaq), sales were 36 percent higher and exports 45 percent higher than in the same period the previous year. In addition, the workforce, estimated at 211,000, had grown by almost 10 percent year on year. Much of this strong increase is attributed to exports of equipment of Brazilian companies to French auto maker PSA Peugeot Citroen for its new plant in Slovakia.

This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete guide.
