   :: Interviewing Advice

Excerpted from the China Career Guide

It is difficult to give specific information regarding job interviewing in China since the employer may be any of a number of nationalities. It is common to find tri-venture entities in the People’s Republic of China, meaning a possible representation by three different cultures.

The best way to prepare oneself for an interview in China is to learn as much about the employer as possible and to understand who the employing entity is. In a tri-venture, or a joint venture, one should know which entity comprises the management. Hierarchies in business organizations can be quite complex and confusing, making it difficult for the applicant to know who makes the decisions. Therefore, it is important to treat each person present with equal respect.

This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete guide.
