   :: Resume/CVs

Excerpted from the Germany Career Guide

Written applications usually consist of a cover letter, a CV with a photograph, and copies of written references, certificates and proof of work experience. It is possible to apply for a job electronically on most companies’ websites. In other cases, the jobseeker should only submit an application by email if explicitly requested in a job solicitation. If no suitable jobs are announced, the jobseeker can send a company documents as a speculative application. Many personnel departments will often turn to these speculative applications before advertising the job or contacting employment agencies.

You’ll find specific examples of cover letters and CVs relevant to Germany in the complete Germany guide.

This is just a sample of what you'll find in the complete guide.
